Since the 3rd of December, 3 fuel cell buses are in full operation in the city of Sanremo, in the North West of Italy.
The Sanremo site, which is part of the High V.LO-City project, was publicly launched during an event organised by the operator Riviera Transporti on the 30th of November.
The event gathered local and regional politicians as well as local authorities and private companies. Participants also had the chance to get first hand experience of the buses as one of the buses was used to bring participants to a site visit. The functionning of the refuelling station was explained to participants and a refuel was performed.
Sanremo is the third Italian city to deploy fuel cell buses, after Bolzano and Milan. The buses are operated on the Sanremo-Taggia suburban line.
