Lille to deploy 42 hydrogen-powered buses

The European Metropolis of Lille, in partnership with ENGIE, has approved the creation of the company Hyléos. Using the electricity produced by the waste from the Halluin Energy Recovery Centre, it will produce renewable hydrogen to power 42 hydrogen-powered buses and five household waste collection vehicles. The deadline is 2024.
