Hydrogen-fuelled bus hits the streets of Taranto

The Solaris Roadshow 2022 made a stop in Taranto (Italy) with the presentation on the seafront of the "Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen" bus, a zero-emission vehicle powered by hydrogen fuel cells.

In Taranto, the vehicle completed a route in the city, showing that there was virtually no noise and little vibration during the journey, and that the passengers and driver had a high level of comfort.

The innovative vehicle, already operating on Bolzano's public transport network, has a range of up to 350 km while retaining all the advantages of an electric motor; the only product of the chemical reaction in the hydrogen fuel cell is water vapour. With a recharging time of about 15 minutes, the bus also offers flexibility and agility to the public transport operator.
